Never spoke about the A511, did not even know it was out ;-)
yes rooting works on all current firmwares
Hey euclid's brother,
do you have some news to share? like a working patched recovery, that might be able to restore the backup ??
thanks
be root, make a backup with titanium backup
install the 1.060
root, restore with titanium backup
last update of temple run did the trick,
fully working now
did smdy try that to fix the issue ?
yep, seems software as came with last OTA for most of users..
fingers crossed for you then
FYI, the firmwares available on this thread are clean, i've used them on mine, and found similar copies on other US thread.
no trouble then
ok, more news,
i managed to go to 1.060 and everything is fine now :)
on our french board, it seems that a good option was to modify in the accessibility panel, the delay to long, and the sensitivity of the panel (in display) to high
guys,
can you share that ?
i'm a bit stuck on mine (see other thread)...
Any chance to spread this update with an update.zip ?
i don't know if it's feasible..
Hi,
Some news from my side..
I had this new recovery installed.
Two days ago, acer sent through ota their new release.
Unfortunately, i did not allow the update, and failed during reboot.
I...
currently, i did not properly use the recovery, had no time for that.
but it's booting on it.
did you put the last version 17c ?
did you read the sentence in red ?
"You MUST unlock your bootloader before flashing this."
TODO so:
You must have the ability to send adb commands to the tablet.
adb reboot-bootloader...
did you first unlock the bootloader ?
i've used the acer recovery installer method without trouble
may be euclid's B can help you ?
[RECOVERY][4/27/2012] CWM thor 1.7c for A510 - xda-developers
oops, links was removed..
There IT IS : http://www.acertabletforum.com/forum/acer-a500-development/4441-cwm-a510.html
the bootloader is already unlocked
recovery is installed on mine.
it seems that acer as a so poor quality control that most of the tablets are broken on shipment..
too bad for you because frankly, it's really a step beyond A500 (i had one before running ICS)
yep,
next step is the recovery :)
just to say :
everything is fine
:D
i have absolutely no problem and i recommend it as THE best tab for the price
i think you have to delete manually the tools folder...
replied you on xda :)
semms it's okay :)
Juste to add that if you have a daemon issue, you have to update acer drivers available on their website
I'll post all info in appropriate section
