My A110 is my first Android device and this thread caught my interest. I have various dvd ripping programs on my PC and I also use avi files that I burn to a DVD-RW to watch on the TV. I was thinking about streaming video from the tablet via HDMI to the TV, so what format or file extension do I have to have for the tablet to play it?

    Thanks, Don

Sorry for late post. I'd like to share the solution I found recently for transferring DVD movies on Acer tablets including Acer Iconia Tab A700, A500, A200, A100 as well as the Windows 8 operating system W700, W510. When you walk through the thread, I think getting DVD files onto Acer tablet for on-the-go viewing is just a piece of cake.

This article describes a really easy way to convert Dvd movies to iPhone without any hassles. You don't even need to be a computer master to do the conversion. You can do this in a few few easy steps without sacrificing the quality of your movie along with great conversion speed!

I hate to ask a really basic, probably stoopid question, but, how do I actually physically save a video file to my Acer tablet? Trying Freemake and I can convert and save from a DVD to the computer, but how do I get it on my tablet? When choose a destination folder on the sd card, video or videos I get an error message saying I can't save here. I'm lost. Sorry for a stupid question.
