Acer Iconia B1 Heading to Market Soon

Acer just announced a new tablet that will first be heading to markets in India soon, but will also likely debut at CES next week. It's called the Iconia B1, and will sell for a price of Rs 7,999 (about $140 USD). Here's a spec breakdown:

• 7 inch 1024x600 display
• Attractive blue band around the outside
• 1.2GHz dual-core processor
• 512MB of RAM
• 8GB of on-board storage
• A microSD card slot
• Android 4.1/Jelly Bean

These specs seem rather lackluster, even for the cheap pricing. Perhaps if it comes to the US market it will be marked down to around the $100 dollar mark. It might be worth a glance at that price, but it's hard to get excited about it if this pricing model holds up. Share your thoughts.

Hello! I bought it for "El día del padre" to make a present to my father. It's a good and cheap tablet (only 109 euros in Spain) which has almost everythig - Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and GPS modules. Ideal for the people like my father - books, music and travels.

It's a decent tablet with a very attractive price. It's available in some parts in EUfor a €135.
