Transfer photos from camera to A500

Has anyone figured out a way to directly transfer photos from a digital camera to the A500 tablet? When I connect my camera to the tablet through the USB port nothing happens.

The USB allows the Tablet to appear as a drive, just like the camera. Camera to tablet is like trying to connect two thumb drives together. Try EyeFi instead: https://market.android.com/details?i...=search_result

When I connect my Nikon D40x camera directly to the tablet I see the SD card on my camera at /mnt/usb_storage without any special configuration. The connection on the camera I use is mini USB and is the same one I would use to connect the camera to a PC. The connection I use on the tablet is the full USB connection.

You don't need any special software to connect a camera.
You might want a file manager to copy the pictures off the camera to your Tablet.

Lets not make a problem where there isn't one.
