Camera malfunction - green screen?

Hi Folks,
Hoping you can help me. My Acer Iconia A500 tablet camera seems to be malfuntioning. No damage to tablet. When I turn on the camera or video cam - it either shows a green squiggly screen or once I got the screen side camera to work briefly then when I went to switch to back side camera it froze up. Have to reset to get tablet going again. Any suggestions?

Go to settings/application/manage applications/all and force stop the camera and try that. You can also try a pinhole reset.

I recently had an issue with my wife's a500's camera back facing. Exact description as you describe. I sent it in after a brief discussion with the online support. Seems the camera can unseat itself thought use of the tab. Support re-seated the camera and sent it back to us. Works like a champ now. You may wish to contact support. I too had done the complete reset of the tab before calling support.

I've had the same issue with the back camera. Every time i open it up it shows a static green screen. The one way to fix this issue for many Acer A500 Tablets is simply by leaving it on the green screen and using four fingers to tap on the camera in the back until it shows. Worked for me hope it works for you.

I was facing same problem, my friend recommended to configure settings and after doing that it all went well, So I will recommend you the same. Simply go to settings then go to application and finally go for manage applications option, from there you will get your way.
