    wi-Fi networks disabled, secured with WEP.

    Been trying for days. Just got the ACER for daughter for Christmas. Have had NO luck connecting with internet with home based verizonwireless. I have tried re-setting 3 X like a previous poster suggested. Anyone?, Anything? Pleez This was suppose to be a piece of cake. I am somewhat tech savvy but have been utterly stumped by this one. also tried adding SSID for router and when I am sitting right next to it, says I am not in range.

    You might have a wifi issue, try connecting to the router with the security disabled to at least check that is working. What firmwire are you on?

    People on the vicinity can connect to a wifi that has no security, but all we are trying to do here is to establish that the wifi on the tab works. You might have to change the security on your wifi probably.
