A restart or a factory reset? If you didn't tried the latter do so.

Hi Rob, My problem is that the Acer media player has stopped working -- tells me "file not found" and also unable to view pictures -- getting message "file is corrupted, it's unable to play".
I was going to do a reset via the settings and am wondering "will all the programs that came bundled on the unit still be available" after the "reset"?? Not worried about anything I've
added myself but would hate to lose the "packaged" software. Will wait for reply before applying the "reset".
    Thanks

The Factory data reset will only clear data and apps that you have added to the tablet. It merely restores the device to the "new" state. It does not remove the vendor apps. Before you do that though, you could try clearing data for the media player from Settings > Apps. That may resolve the problem.

Thanks for the information <> Tried clearing data from media player from the Settings > Apps but didn't seem to help any <> ending up doing reset from the "settings" area. Will be loading music and pictures later but everything else seems to be back to normal.

I'm glad to see that you resolved the problem. The Factory data reset is very a handy option.

I have exactly the same situation. I emailed Acer and they replied saying they will help but I have to pay 60 for the courier
and assessment of my tablet and then pay a charge for fixing it. So I thought no thanks.

Have you been able to shed any light on the problem?

    Thanks
