The Samsung Galaxy A3/A5 comes with flexible memory, which allows the 16GB internal storage to be increased with a 64GB MicroSD card. Where are my photos and videos stored on my Samsung Galaxy A3/A5? Samsung Official website says, ”By default, your captured pictures and videos are stored on your device's internal memory. When microSD card is inserted, the default storage location will be changed automatically to the SD card. However, burst shots and pictures taken using some downloaded camera modes will still be saved to the device storage.”

    So here are two cases:
    1) If the lost picture were saved on an external memory card of the Galaxy A3 / A5, you can use the normal picture recovery tool to recover lost pictures and videos from the memory card.
    2) If the deleted pictures were saved in the internal storage of the Galaxy A3 / A5, then common picture recovery tool can not retrieve them. You need professional Android data recovery software to recover lost images, videos, and other files from your Android phone's internal memory.

Note: More and more Android smart phones, such as Samsung Galaxy Note 5 and Galaxy S6, have dropped the memory cards. Once deleted these mobile phone's messages, contacts and multimedia files, you can only use professional Android data recovery software to get them back from the internal storage of the Android phones.
