    Web Browser and PDF files

I am new to tablets, but have been in the IT area for almost 30 years and this "bothers" me.
When my wife accesses a grocery web site and taps on their weekly ad, rather than opening the embedded pdf file in a streaming fashion, it downloads the file, then opens it with the "reader" of choice. The thing that bothers me is that when she is finished with it, the pdf file remains in device storage and at some point, I need to go in using a file manager and delete all these pdf files.

Maybe I a missing something, but is there a way to read the pdf "online" so that it doesn't have be downloaded and deleted? It may sound like it, but I really don't want a Windows tablet, but would like to see the browser function in this regard, similarly to how it works on a Windows PC.

    THANKS

Try another browser like Dolphin HD, it has add-ons you can download for this.

Thanks for the suggestion. I tried it and that works great for direct pdf url links, but now I have a jpg that links to a pdf that prompts me to "save as". it doesn't allow online viewing. any more Suggestions?

Check on the browser settings. There should be something like display images disable.

Update. I tried the native browser, firefox and dolphin. none of these worked for all pdf link styles, but then tried Chrome and I have success. It opens all pdf link types within the browser so I don't have to download, view and clean up the files later.

    Glad it worked
