Thank you, good sugestion, which I followed. Under the Android folder on the internal I found the data folder and the obb folder. When i go into each and try to delete the dark medow folder it gives me a delete error and won't let me delete them. Any idea why and how I can get rid of them so I can move the stuff over from the unzip to the card? Thanks for so much help!
ETA: the stuff in the obb folder on the internal did delete, just not the data medows stuff. Also there is no obb folder on the unzip to the eternal and I deleted it off the internal

So I just redid the unzip to get the obb stuff back. Sorry I keep having questions I've read this thread and the other one over and over. Does the apk from the download site need to be placed in a particular folder? And if I have things in the right places how do I actually get the game to run with no icon to click? I know I will learn a lot about how things work by figuring all this out, thanks again for the help.

Hi and asking questions is never a problem
The apk does not have to be placed anywhere in particular - even having it on the external SD card is fine. Once you've placed the folders in the right places run the apk (just click on it using any file browser) - that will install the game and give you an icon to use

Darkbulb: thanks for the instructions. Works like a charm on my A100.

How do you run the apk file, when I download it, it downloads as back.7z, and is a .zip file. do I need to extract that file as well, and if I do, where do I need to extract it to?
Never mind, I got it to run, had to find the download in my sdcard folder and extract, which allowed me run the install. Android is still a learning process. Thanks for the info! Can I delete the original apk file that I extracted from, or does that need to stay?

Actually, I am still not sure how I got the apk to run from the original back.7z file? So I deleted everything except the original data and obb download and am redownloading the back.7z file to try and figure it out.. Oh yeah, and you need to keep the original .zip apk file you extract from to make the game run after all is said and done.
So, for Android OS newbies such as myself, here's how I did it.
After you download the apk file, it shows up as back.7z under downloads.
I used the .zip unloader to unzip back.7z into the /mnt/sdcard folder, and then created a new folder in /mnt/sdcard called Dark Meadows (you don't have to do this, I just wanted to keep my main directory as clean as possible). From there I put all the DM links into that folder.
Go into folder and from there long pressed on the com.phosphorgames.DarkMeadow apk link and you are able to extract to folder. After that, you will see the app button with a fly on it, and clicking on that will allow you to install from the apk. I just wanted to clarify that for anyone who has had issues running apk itself, as the directions above didn't say anything about having to unzip the apk, but were awesome for everything else. Then the app will be available in your apps list which you can long press to add to your main screens. Thanks!

Since it's so darn big I unzipped it TO the external SD card (you get an option to select the "Out Path" in the application) - I would also strongly recommend doing this as the top-directory that will be extracted will already exist on your internal memory.
I think half my problem is that I unzipped to the internal memory and I can not for the life of me figure out what to delete or move and I think it may have something to do with this issue of the top directory being duplicated that is causing me a problem. I did unzip to the external to see if I'd see what to delete from the internal but everything to be in the correct places.
I'm using the app File Manager. The pathways for the game are as follows:
/mnt/sdcard/Android/data/com.phosphorgames.DarkMeadow/files/TheDarkMeadow and then the folders Binaries, Engine, and UDKGame (and I erased the ones we were suppose to from here too)
the other one is /mnt/sdcard/Android/obb/com.phosphorgam/main.20.com.phophorgam
the data file under Android has a bunch of other things like my kindle, temple run etc so it seems right for the com.phosphorgam to be there.
When I click the Backup.htm icon I just get a pop up saying "complete action using dolphin Browser, HTML viewer, or text editor" clicking on any of those doesn't yield any result but maybe that is because I don't have the game set up in the files correctly.
I guess if I can't figure this out I'll start over with a clean slate when I do a factory reset when I install ICS but I'm not in a particular hurry to do that.
Thanks for being patient. I do want to figure this out because I want to play the game and also because I'm stubborn

Your data folders seems to be in the correct places but your obb folder should be "com.phosporgames.DarkMeadow/main.20.com.phosphorgames.DarkMeadow.obb " and not "com.phosphorgam" as you write above. But I'm assuming you just shortened it here.
Not sure what the backup.htm icon is - but once you have the folders in the right places (and deleted the three save files) - which you seem to have. You should just be able to run the .apk file and the game should install and be able to be run.
You get the apk from here:

so this is progress. I have now downloaded the apk and unzipped it and now I have the game icon and when I click it I see the Nvidia/Unreal/Phosphor logos come through. Then I get a very brief flash of white which I think wants to be the Dark Meadow logo but the screen goes dark and then I just hear a sound like crickets or cicada bugs. Now I know that you are suppose to back out when the game doesn't work and try it again but I have tried several times with the same results. Do you think it's my files or if it starts at all does that mean they are in the right places? Should I try the "if license fails" version?
Thanks for all the help. I feel so close to solving this thing!
ETA: I see the original instructions are now updated with the newest apk's so that will be less confusing.

Hm, try the 'if license' fail version as well and see if that changes anything. You MAY have to restart your tablet and/or go into setting and do a force-close and clear CACHE and re-start.
I only had to back out of it once before it started working flawlessly and I think, can't remember any more..that I didn't have to use the if-license-fail app.
I think you've done everything right...now it's just fingers crossed.
Are you on an A100 or A500?
