I have just purchased the above but have a few issues hope some one can help

    1. Just bought case for this, the tablet would not work, when I take
the case off it works, also when I put it flat on the the table it will not
work when I pick it up it works!! Does anyone else have this problem it seems
it does not like anything on the back.

    2. On the home screen there is a clock/calendar I cannot remove it
by dragging to the top it will not move how can I remove this?

    3. When typing it makes a sound every time you press a key, how do I silence
    this?

    4. At times I have to really press hard on the screen to get a reaction,
does anyone else have this problem.

    5. Should I download a player? if so which one?
    6. when ever I try to watch a movie it keeps stopping is there anything
    I can do about this?

I hope some one can help with some of these issues that I have.

For 1 and 4: It appears that you have a defective unit. I suggest you take it back to the retailer and exchange it for another.
The tablet should continue to work whether lying down or in your hand, or in the case. If you wish, you can try the Factory data reset under Settings > Backup & reset, but I doubt that will help for this problem. It's easy to do, though, so it seems worth trying at least. You can also try the hardware reset via the pinhole button.

For 2: Long press on the clock image... look at the top of the screen, drag to the "remove" location there, and lift your finger to remove the widget from the screen.

For 3: There are settings in the Settings control app to turn off clicks for screen taps, and in the keyboard settings for key clicks.

For 6: The YouTube app works better than the Adobe Flash Player plug in app for video. You may also see improvement in the browser by updating to the most recent Flash Player from the Play Store. There are a number of other longer discussions on this site for improving video playback for different formats. Look in the A500, A200, and A100 forums for details on your specific problems. Those tablets run an OS nearly identical to the one in the A510.

For 5: I'll let some other good folks here answer that, because I tend to use only YouTube, Flash (browser), and Netflix. There is a Netflix player that streams well, provided you have a Netflix subscription.

You came to the right place. This is a terrific site. There are many experienced users and experts around here to answer your questions and make you feel welcome.
