The only issue I have had was GPS. Other then that its awesome. There's no way I'm switching to another tablet ,much less the prime. Might as well just go get me an iPad. Lol.

Also, the amount of people who post on these boards are a SMALL fraction of the total number of people owning said device. So I would try it out, and then if you have issues you can go from there, but I wouldn't just discount it because a few have had some issues.
I'm haven't crossed this off my list, just adopting a wait and see. It's available in Canada in the next few days and if there is in fact a software related issue causing problems or just a general trend, I'm certain Acer will take care of it. Obviously news has been VERY scarce so far so I'm trying to round up everything I can about this tablet and other perspective tablets before I make my final purchase. Truth to tell, Acer has no competition this early in the game since I've already decided to write off the Transformer Prime TF201. The supposed TF300 is interesting if they offer a model that is more than 16 GB storage and the non-aluminum backing will eliminate the wifi and gps issues we've heard about. The problem is that doesn't exist yet, nor does any other Tegra3 tablets.

But I digress. It still looks very sharp and I am really hoping this was just bad luck for those unlucky and early adopters. I've come across an in depth video review from 'MobileTechReview' here:

We certainly need to take care of the "forum effect" where people use to raise an issue more than tell us all is fine. Still, from the counts of a french forum where already about 70 owners so far reported, I counted about 10% cases which would lead to a replacement. Mind you this isn't people coming there just to complain. They all joined first to wonder about where to find it and just say they got it and then their first impressions.
This is still small numbers for reliable stats but a bit more than a few and I don't know if 10% is a standard figure in QC for this kind of stuff. Beside that, no inherent problems like for the Prime.
Those few cases haven't changed my mind as this tablet is obviously great (especially for the price). I know I may have to exchange it if I'm not lucky, which isn't a big deal.

Nobody is saying "all is fine", we're just saying ours have had no problems. I still say it's way too early to make a judgement either way.

I've owned just about ever tablet that's come into the Frys Store and this by far is the best! This has got to be the best browsing experience I have ever seen on a Android Tablet. My Prime bogs down this really cranks through the web pages!

O and the battery life is insane.... Just Rooted it more to play with

I think Acer has produced another hidden gem.

    Hi all,
I bought mine about one week ago and prepared review, unfortunatelly for it is written in Polish language. If you are interested you have link here: Acer A510 - mini recenzja
I can say that the heat issue is also known for me. I noticed that there is installed McAffe software. When the realtime shield is activated some of the benchmarks which I've run shows less points that should. The situation is better when it is switched off but the best result is when I've killed processes which Virusscan run after booting the device. I've also noticed that after i've killed these processes (there are 2) my Acer produces less heat and it is noticeable difference. Please try to disable McAffe software and check if your tablet still generate so much heat.
