I wanna root can some1 help?

OK I just got my tablet a week ago and updated to ice cream sandwich the other day when it was available. Can anybody link me to a tutorial on how to root or help me out with rooting? Also if you brick your tablet is there anyway of fixing it and on average how many people brick their tablets because if it's a really big risk I'd rather not root.

Here are a few methods of rooting for the A500. I wouldn't worry too much about bricking with just rooting. You always have the option to factory reset and/or microSD updates to bring it back.

Once again I tried to root, after four tries, gave up. I loaded the drivers, the application stated done, rooted, et cetera, and it was not.

What process did you use to confirm if it was rooted or not?

Titanium Backup and ES File Manager state no root privilidge. However, this morning I noticed a message indicating Titanium did a backup at 2 am.

I assume you did download and installed SuperUser so it can give rights to the apps?

Once you install Superuser update the su binaries, even if it say is up to date.

    Open superuser/settings/su binaries.
