How to Update from HoneyComb (HC) to IceCreamSandwich (ICS)

    • Guide by JWAYAD Please I cant guarantee this will work. Anyone knows another way that works too?

      1. Download the OTA ICS update HERE
      2. The file will be named Acer_A200_AV041.RV00RC00_AV041.zip, rename it to update.zip
      3. Save it to a MicroSD card in the root (ie. don't save it in a folder)
      4. Turn tab off
      5. Hold the left volume button (the one with two dots) and the power button down until you see some white text in the top left corner.
      6. Wait about 8-10 minutes. You'll see the Android with turning gear and a progress bar (which stalled several times, don't worry) followed by a white screen that says not to reboot or power off.
      7. The device will reboot, tell you it's updating android, tell you it's updating your apps...

Amazing! I'm a fairly competent IT guy, but even I was intimidated by the learning curve associated with rooting/flashing Android. You have now given me the confidence to try, so many thanks for that!

So no need to wipe data or factory restore if you useTWRP Touch ?

why is it needed to be wiped on cwm but not on TWRP? That seems odd.

Honestly, I know you need to wipe, Odd was that he did such a good write up but didnt say anything about needing to wipe with TWRP at all.
