    Acer A200 SuperWipe (tool to wipe *all the partitions on your tab)

    Attention this is not a ROM! This will erase all the data partitions on your A200 Tab!

    So I've been spending alot of time testing different configurations.. and it can be very tedious to make sure you get a full wipe between ROM installs.
    A little google search latter and problem solved!

    The base of this script is not my work, i just modified it to be specific to the Acer Iconia Tab A200

    see below..

    Code:
    #SuperWipe for Acer Iconia Tab A200
    ui_print("");
    ui_print("");
    ui_print("");
    ui_print("==============================================");
    ui_print("|               Wiping Script                       |");
    ui_print("|  This operation will remove all your data  |");
    ui_print("|        on this A200 Tab - this is              |");
    ui_print("|               UNREVERSABLE!                    |");
    ui_print("|          Hold down the power key            |");
    ui_print("|       until tab turns off to ABORT!!!         |");
    ui_print("==============================================");
    ui_print("");
    ui_print("");
    ui_print("");
    run_program("/sbin/sleep", "10");
    ui_print("1. Erasing & formatting EXT4 *CACHE* partition");
    assert(unmount("/cache") || ui_print("(cache is unmounted already)"));
    run_program("/sbin/erase_image", "cache");
    format("ext4", "EMMC", "/dev/block/mmcblk0p4", "0");
    ui_print("");
    ui_print("");
    run_program("/sbin/sleep", "5");
    ui_print("2. Erasing & formatting EXT4 *SYSTEM* partition");
    assert(unmount("/system") || ui_print("(system is unmounted already)"));
    run_program("/sbin/erase_image", "system");
    format("ext4", "EMMC", "/dev/block/mmcblk0p3", "0");
    ui_print("");
    ui_print("");
    run_program("/sbin/sleep", "5");
    ui_print("3. Erasing & formatting EXT4 *DATA* partition");
    assert(unmount("/data") || ui_print("(data is unmounted already)"));
    run_program("/sbin/erase_image", "userdata");
    format("ext4", "EMMC", "/dev/block/mmcblk0p8", "0");
    ui_print("");
    ui_print("");
    run_program("/sbin/sleep", "5");
    ui_print("3. Erasing & formatting EXT4 *FLEX* partition");
    assert(unmount("/flex") || ui_print("(data is unmounted already)"));
    run_program("/sbin/erase_image", "userdata");
    format("ext4", "EMMC", "/dev/block/mmcblk0p6", "0");
    ui_print("");
    ui_print("");
    ui_print("");
    ui_print("");
    ui_print("");
    ui_print(">>> All partition wiped successfully! <<<");
    ui_print("");
    ui_print("");
    ui_print("");
    run_program("/sbin/sleep", "5");
    ui_print("7. Creating log file on SD card");
    run_program("/sbin/busybox", "cp", "/tmp/recovery.log", "/sdcard/superwipe.log");
    ui_print("");
    ui_print("");
    run_program("/sbin/sleep", "5");
    ui_print("==============================================");
    ui_print("|      Now you can flash your new rom        |");
    ui_print("|    Device will reboot in recovery mode     |");
    ui_print("==============================================");
    run_program("/sbin/sleep", "5");
    run_program("/sbin/reboot", "recovery");
    download here - http://db.tt/Qws3ZiAB

    Instructions-
    Download the zip file
    place the file on the root of your SD card
    boot into ClockWorkMod
    choose to install zip from SD card
    select AcerA200SuperWipe.zip
    wait for finish

    Questions?

    /HB

    My questions would be in what case/scenario would you want to use this? Doesn't CWM has this in recovery, what is the difference? Once flashed is it on the tab all the time for future usage?

    well you are absolutely right this is built into CWM, as a matter of fact I'm just calling tools in CWM, however the reason i made it was because to wipe completely it tales alot of button pushing and back and forth between the mount screen and the advance screen and the install screen to wipe and flash a ROM. with this you just go to install screen "intall this .zip and then wait for reboot and flash new ROM. I literary was pushing my volume rocker so much over the last 2 days that i think I may have shorten the life on it!
    so I guess its a little laziness and little time saved and little less hardware ware...

    Thanks. Got one of these for my Thunderbolt and it is an awesome timesaver. I like it because it makes sure you don't forget something.

    This would probably work just fine on the A500 too.. The partitions seem to be the same.

    A200 temporary development device
    Epic 4G Touch running ICS Blend

    I'm running a custom Rom on ICS with my Acer A500 encrypted. Will this method mess up my encryption? Meaning it either completely goes away, breaks, or still works. Normally the data partition when encrypted will not format with CWM Recovery. Thanks and great work!

    Hi there - how long does it take to format data on a 32gb A200 ? just started this in CWM and it formatted cache and system and now seems to be stuck while formatting data ? Almost 5 minutes now...
