    Unrooting

Hope this isn't a dumb question...

I did the simpleroot on my A200 and realized that for my purposes, I prefer the stock setup and the warranty. Is there a way to "unroot"?

    Thanks.

I'm looking to unroot because I did a factory reset and now the Market app is missing. Any Market apk I install causes Market to immediately crash. I tried to re-root to see if that would do anything, but unfortunately no luck. I'm going to take your suggestion and try to install the official update to see if that'll help, but i'm having trouble finding the ICS file anywhere on the google.

Acer doesn't have an official ice update download on their website for the A200. I hope once we get a recovery someone will be post a stock rooted and non rooted rom.

    not with curl.
I search with the tab for the update. It was available . so i cancelled the whole process. I start virtual router on my Laptop , connect my Laptop with cable to my lan and the Tab with the virtual wlan from the laptop.
started wireshark on the laptop , sniffed the wifi connection , search with the tab for the update again. I did a search for the update only and not downloaded the file. Stopped wireshark , and looked at the wireshark capture file.

Fwiw the market app is not missing because you have a root.

Its Missing because it has been removed and renamed by google to 'play store' or 'play shop'.

Do a restart and it will on your app list under that new name.
