    Charging off USB?

    Hi
    Is there a way to charge off the tablet via USB?

    Not that I know of, you have to use the charging lead.

    As I understand this, as of this date there is no way to charge the Acer Iconia a200 via a USB cable. Correct? What were they thinking?

    Perhaps they wanted to be able to charge the tablet in less than a day?

    My Asus tablet charges in 3.5 hours using the supplied cable (15V 1.2 Amps). Charging via USB (5V 0.5 Amps) takes about 33 hours.

    Heck, even an iPad needs a separate wall wart to charge properly. The iPad charger uses 5V 2.0 Amps. Kindle/Nook chargers are 5V 1.0 Amps.
