You may be pressing a wrong button, holding the power button too long, or both. Try Method 2 here: [HOW TO] Perform A Factory Reset. Follow the instructions very precisely.
when i am doing a hard reset on my acer, when i toggle the screen lock, it takes me to Bootloader v0.03.13-ICS: Starting fastboot USB download protocol. and then just sits there. Did i do it wrong or what, it happens everytime i get to the "toggle screen lock" part of the hard reset. and if it dont go there, it goes to the android laying on its back with the triangle and ! mark...????? Help
Yup, your using the wrong side of the volume rocker. You need to use the one farthest from the corner/screen lock.

Hi, I'm trying to reset my tablet and have followed the instructions on "Method 2". I release when it says, "Erasing user data" but all it does is go to the Acer screen and stay there. What am I doing wrong? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
