Thread: Stuck on Acer screen

    Stuck on Acer screen

    Device has never been rooted, is on ICS. I've been able to wipe with reboot, but still stuck on Acer screen. Any suggestions? Thanks!

    If you did the factory reset as described in my signature. And it is still stuck on the Acer screen, it might be the dreaded faulty emmc (dead). The only other thing to try is grab this ICS rom and follow the instructions to reflash the OS. The decoded official version ICS for A100 from XDA

    Pretty much, except the tablet isn't rooted. I went ahead and requested warranty repair, but haven't yet gotten an email from Acer.

    Thank you for the post.

    I thought my A100 was lost after it threw out some errors and, upon reboot, became stuck on the Acer screen. Since it was a factory refurbished unit and out of the 90 day warranty, I thought the device was lost.

    Your post made it easy to get to a valid update file and your instuctions made the process simple.

    After the reset update and the subsequent automatic system update, my little A100 is back and running properly.

    I have the same errors like in the thread, nothing works for my tablet.. it's dead! X_X

    I have tried with adb and fastboot commands (none works), and also tried puting the "update.zip" (multiple roms custom and official roms) but anyone is detected/mounted.

    so I too had this problem. Still had warranty and sent it in to be repaired. They told be the screen was broke and they wouldn't fix the problem. I refused to pay 200 dollars.and they sent it back to me, unfixed. I love you acre repair.
