    Unhappy Google Account sign-in failure

Hi all - sorry if this has already been asked. I have a new Acer A100 running android 3.2. I get connected with Wifi fine and can log into gmail fine if I use the browser but I can't get a gmail account associated on the device - it complains that it "Can't establish a reliable connection to the server" My other android devices (a samsung and a toshiba) on the same wifi network connect just fine. I am _not_ using 2 factor authentication for gmail/google+ Any ideas? (otherwise I guess I'll be sending it back. )
