A100 - Home Screen Light
Got my Acer for Christmas and will use it primarily as an ereader. I am a new user and new member to this forum so my question has probably been answered before but I can't find an answer.
Using the tablet as an ereader I find the blinking light at the bottom of the screen very irritating. Is there a way to turn it off?? Outside of that little problem i really like the machine.
cheers from the frozen north.

and welcome to the forum. We are glad to have you here.
If you are referring to the notification bar, there is nothing you can do about it.

Not sure about this, but, that light is the notification signal. It usually means you have email or some update waiting. I THINK that if you turn off notifications it might stop that light from blinking. I don't have my a100 with.is right now to try it out bough, so I may be mistaken.

It is turned of in the Gmail settings under notifications. Also mark all Gmail as read.

Cleared all my Gmails and light is now off. really was a simple solution. also got my A100 to sync with my PC. been a great day so far even if it is freezing cold up here.
thanks vm for advice offered.
Also welcome feom British Columbia. I bought my 8gb version in November from FutureShop for 300 plus tax. Returned yesterday for the 16gb for 20 bucks more. Well worth the extra 20. Since it was bought in November I had until January 8th to return it.
