Specialized case need or DIY ideas

I am a long time DF member, but first time here. I am looking for a specialized case or an idea of what case to start with for a DIY option. I am planing on beta testing some inspection software that will require me to carry an A100 up and down ladders, into attics etc. I need to hang the device around my neck, or slip into a belt holster to free both hands quite frequently. If it is around my neck, it would need to be held to my body as opposed to swinging around. A wrist strap is probably also a must.

    Any ideas are appreciated

That bag looks like a good start. I would pick that up or something similar and sew two belt loops on the backside towards the top. I think that would make a decent holster.

Or something like this, kinda expensive to me, but can be used as a belt holster or shoulder holster.

This looks like it would add protection and hold the tablet. If the cord pouch doesn't already go through like a belt loop, it seems you could add one or two with small slits and some reinforcement to prevent ripping.
Plus the reviews are good from everyone who didn't think it was going to fit an iPad.

Or this lets you use it in the case (add your own loops or neck strap) but comes with a wrist strap:
